Senior Families: We wanted to remind you that Local Scholarship Application packets were mailed to seniors' homes January 9th. The deadline to submit a complete application to the School Counseling Office is Thursday, February 12th. This application requires an application completed and signed by the senior, a Career Plans essay, information about a student's School Activities and Leadership Positions, Out of School Activities, and Work Experiences and a letter of recommendation. The School Counseling Office will add transcripts and make copies of application packets and send these to scholarship committees responsible for choosing scholarship recipients. Incomplete application packets cannot be submitted to scholarship committees. It is important to submit all the required components of the Local Scholarship Application together to ensure the application is complete and that all the components are delivered in time for committees to make their selection. To reiterate: Local Scholarship Applications are due to the School Counseling Office Thursday, February 12th. Related Note: The VSAC Scholarship for Vermonters Online Application is due Wednesday, February 11th. There are several required components. All supporting materials must be uploaded before this application can be submitted online.
The School Counseling Office will continue to email seniors with information about additional scholarships as they become available. Please encourage your seniors to check their email routinely so they do not miss out on opportunities to help pay for their further education.
