Three Lake Region teams participated in the Celebration of Rural Schools Day Event at the Vermont Statehouse in Montpelier Friday, January 30th. Technology teacher Mr. Kelley and his team shared evidence of STEM opportunities at Lake Region: Robotics, Programming, Animation, and Video Production. Vocational Agriculture teacher Jacob Hastings and his students showcased hands-on learning opportunities: Welding, Creative Woodworking, Natural Resources, and Horticulture. A third team shared information about the LR Folio, Folio Tasks, and Senior Exhibitions. Students did a terrific job representing Lake Region in conversations with their local Representatives and celebration attendees. Their visit also included a tour of the Statehouse and a quick trip to the Vermont History Museum. Thank you, students, for your work preparing for this presentation and for your participation.
