Technical Tips for Editing the School Wiki.

Keep your wiki page names short: When making a link to a new page like this - [[new page]]. Long names may confuse the wiki software. If you have a large group of words that you want to turn into a link, create a simple, short name for the page that is separate from the words that are linked like this - [[simplename | long, drawn out name]]

Leave a space between lines to start a new paragraphs: If you don't then the wiki will run your words together as if they were on the same line. If you have to start a new line, but don't need a new paragraph, you can end the previous line with two forward slashes like this - end of line\\

Attach pictures to your page like this: Attach:picture_name.jpg or Attach:picture_name.gif or Attach:picture_name.png

Attach files to your page like this: [[Attach:file_name.??? | Descriptive link name]] Attaching a file can be done in a quick and dirty fashion by not adding the descriptive link name, but it doesn't look attractive on the web page. The ??? at the end of the file name can be any extension like doc, xls, pdf, txt, etc...
