Daily Announcements for 3/10/10

GUIDANCE FYI:

* Fall Drivers Education sign-ups are under way. Forms can be picked up in the Guidance Office.

* Reminder to Seniors that Local Scholarship packets are due to Ms. Hilliker by Friday, March 12th.

SENIORS:

JUNIORS:

* Again this year we are making available a workshop to prepare students for the SAT test on Tuesday, March 23rd. Thanks to financial assistance from our VSAC Gear Up Grant, we are able to offer this workshop at no cost to the students.

We encourage juniors considering post-secondary education to take the SAT test in either May or June, allowing them the opportunity to take the exam again in the fall of their senior year.

CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS:

* The outdoor club has scheduled a ski & ride trip to Burke Mountain for Friday, March 12th. A bus will be provided, and the cost is currently $10 plus $5 rentals if needed. The bus is filling up quick. See Cahill ASAP if interested.

* The FFA is selling Strawberries (8 qts/$24) and a small variety of citrus. See Mr. Stevens or an FFA member if you are interested in buying some.

* One final reminder: Home room will occur between periods 6 and 7 today and not between 2 and 3. Seniors will go to the cafeteria for a presentation during homeroom while the rest of the students go to home room to participate in Stop, Drop, and Read.
