Violent Crime Project

Crimes happen. In some states, certain crimes happen with great frequency. You will discover this.

Violent or forcible crimes include: rape, murder, robbery and agravated assault.

Your assignment is t create either a pie chart or bar graph.indicating the number and percentage of crimes committed in your 4-6 states for the years 1990, 1995, and 2000. In order to do this, you will also need to know the total number of violent crimes committed in each state for these years. Each state will have its own bar graph or pie chart and data.

In addition to this, you will have to provide me with the total number of inmates incarcerated in each state during these years. This figure will include all crimes committed. And lastly, if capital punishment exists in "your" states, what form(s) of execution is used? When was the last inmate executed by way of capital punishment? If you can, tell me the name of the individual executed.

All of this information is available on the web and we will be spending the next 3 days, at least, in the computer lab working on this. (Hint: your best bet is to do a key word search for this information.) It will be counted as a test grade. D a good job and it should be an easy A!
