Inventors and Their Inventions

Step 1: Choose an inventor/invention

Step 2: Record name and invention in your notebook. Record any prior knowledge that you know about the inventor and/or the invention.

Step 3: Research your inventor and the invention.

  1. You must find at least 3 different sources of information
  2. You may use the web, books, magazine articles, but only one encyclopedia.

Step 4: Write a full page (4-5 paragraphs) report on your inventor and invention.

Follow guidelines below.

  1. Once you have found and read your research begin by writing an outline. Use the questions below to organize your outline.
  2. Once your outline is done, then you will start on your rough draft.
  3. Your rough draft will include...(4-5 paragraphs)
    • One strong introduction paragraph
    • (2-3 paragraphs) for the body
    • A one paragraph conclusion

Step 5: You must create a bibliography using the MLA format.
