  • Project Oceanology 2017

On April 28th and 29th, 41 freshmen travelled to Groton, Ct. to Project Oceanology on the Avery Point Campus of UCONN.
While there, they went out into Long Island Sound on a research vessel to conduct all kinds of data gathering. They did a bottom trawl to collect and identify specimens, and conducted ocean chemistry experiments. They also measured water quality in the rocky intertidal zone. Everyone had a great time learning about oceans and watersheds.
