Ashley Morrill ran for national FBLA President at the recent National Leadership Conference in Atlanta, Georgia where she spoke in front of more than 12,000 people. Unfortunately, she did not win the election. Grace Miller, on the other hand received the AMERICA award. She is the first Vermont student to ever receive this award. Andrew Parkinson, Nathaniel Slade, and Hannah Brown also attended the event.
The LRUHS Jazz Band participated in the High Note Festival on June 10th in Lake George, NY, and received an "excellent" rating for their performance. After their performance in the morning, the band went to the Great Escape for the afternoon. This was a joint field trip with Amy Newton and the OCSU Jazz Band. Re: More Information on Transportation and Food for Summer School
This purpose of this letter is to provide information about transportation for the summer course offerings and classes. Students attending any of the math, driver’s education, tech savvy camp, Foundations and/or credit recovery classes can ride the bus to and/or from school on any of the dates.
Bus Dates: Busses will be running on the following dates: June 13-15 (Mon–Wed); June 20-23 (Mon - Thur); June 27-29 (Mon – Wed); July 5-7 (Tues - Thur); July 11-14 (Mon - Thur); July 18 - 21 (Mon - Thur); July 25 - 27 (Mon - Wed);
Busses will be running on the following dates:
June 13-15 (Mon–Wed);

June 27-29 (Mon – Wed);
July 5-7 (Tues - Thur);
July 11-14 (Mon - Thur);
July 18 - 21 (Mon - Thur);

We will run two pickup/drop off routes, which are described below. Times given are approximate morning pick-up times and may change slightly once the drivers run the actual routes. If changes are made, the driver will inform the students on the bus.
Route 1: Albany School (7:05) thru Irasburg via Route 14 (7:15) past Tree Corners to Coventry School via Route 14 (7:25) to Orleans Elementary School (7:40) past Nancy’s Video via Route 5 to LRUHS.
Route 2: Begin at Brownington Village (7:05) via Center Road/Hollow Road/Route 5/Route 16 to Glover School (7:35) to Barton Graded School via Route 16 (7:40) to LRUHS via Route 5.
We are aiming for the busses to arrive at LR around 7:45 and to depart at 12:15. The busses will not be doing house-to-house pickup unless the student is on the main traveled corridor of the bus route. Students can access the bus by meeting the bus at the end of roads, driveways, or at the respective elementary schools. If you have any questions or would like to give the bus a heads up that you would like to be picked up, please contact Janet Smith at 754-6508.
Note: Any summer school students may ride the busses on any of the days.
Food: We also will be providing cold breakfast and snacks/bag lunch for all participants at no cost to any of the students on the days that we have bussing except for the week of June 13-16.

On June 2nd, the Donna Underwood Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted its Class of 2016.
